SpaceCam Leica LM/ARC Mount for Red Epic and Scarlet
Description: A unique and original precision engineered interface allowing the rigid and secure mounting of a variety of Leica M mount lenses as well as specially prepared SpaceCam LM/ARC mount lenses.
Leica M mount equipped lenses are positioned on an indexing dowel and then drawn firmly against the collimated mounting surface by rotation of a cammed disc set into rear of the front plate and effected by movement of small paddle handles preserving clear unobstructed access to rear portion of mounted lenses. In the case of SpaceCam LM/ARC mount lenses, additional index pegs on the lens ensures enhanced rotational stability and exact centering in lens mount. Provision is provided on mount surface to accept these addition pegs without affecting the usability of standard Leica M mount lenses.

Rotational Indexing: Standard Leica M peg plus additional recesses to accommodate SpaceCam LM-ARC (augmented rotational and centering) series of special lenses.
Tolerances:Lens Mount surface to camera mount surfaces “pads” +/- .0002 inch ( +/- .005mm measured).
Parallelism Lens mount surface to mount “pads” error no greater than 2.5 arc seconds
Perpendicularity to sensor surface (assumption of perfect sensor installation) no greater than 2.5 arc seconds.
Note: These tolerances are significantly superior to those measured in other mounting systems in some cases by more than an order of magnitude.

Material: Proprietary AeroSpace Grade Hardened Alloy
Coating: Proprietary Hard AeroSpace Grade (matte black)
Tolerances throughout: +-.0005 inch
Locking Handles
Material: 6061 T6 Aluminum natural anodize
Laser-Cut white delrin slider ovals ensuring smooth rotation of rear cammed draw disc. Optical-grade, temperature-stable, non-migrating lubricant is employed.
Kit Includes Shims, body cap and installation instructions.
RED has confirmed that installation of this kit will have no effect on warranty status of camera.
Assembly is light and dust sealed.
IP Status: Patent Pending on file. Filing is non-specific for lens or camera type as design approach extends to many still lens mounts found on various lenses.
